SUMMARY:December Chapter Meeting
DESCRIPTION:We will host Jeremy Liskar\, Legislative Coordinator for Climate Reality. While studying political science and public policy at George Washington University\, Jeremy led a successful fossil fuel divestment campaign and helped significantly up the ambition of his university’s climate plan. Before joining Climate Reality\, he organized with the Sunrise Movement to help create the conditions for winning climate action and justice at the scale needed. \nJeremy will talk about the implications of the new Federal Legislation pertaining to what we do as individuals and in our communities to speed greenhouse gas reduction. Also\, he will cover ideas of what may be next for Our Climate Moment after the Build Back Better Act is passed. He is interested in hearing our thoughts\, and all are welcome and encouraged to contribute to this discussion. \nWe will also announce the slate of next year’s officers. Ballot information will then be sent out for voting\, which will continue through December 31. \nYou can watch a recording of this meeting here. \n
