We are the local chapter of The Climate Reality Project within the Finger Lakes Greater Region of New York State. This region includes the cities of Binghamton, Syracuse, Ithaca, Elmira, Corning and Rochester and areas in-between. The chapter includes trained Climate Reality Leaders and interested community members. We are part of the New York State Coalition of Climate Reality Chapters and fall within the Northeast US Region of the US Branch. Our region includes parts of six US Congressional Districts.

To educate and mobilize all who reside in our region to take urgent climate action across every level of society, while ensuring that all individuals feel respected and included. Our purview includes climate mitigation, community resilience and regenerative development in response to the climate emergency.

A socially just, environmentally responsible, technologically innovative and sustainably green habitat where our resources are preserved for our future generations and no hazards are left behind.

We believe that equity, fairness, and the fully-voiced engagement of frontline communities most impacted by climate change are essential components of any enduring climate solution and that to solve the climate crisis, we must pursue a just transition to a clean energy economy that nurtures healthy and sustainable communities and ecosystems. We encourage participation from all voices regardless of race, religion, color, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, or physical ability.
